Artist Bio

I was born and raised in the small farm town of Woodland, CA. I am a graduate of the Art Institute of California Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science in Digital film and Video Production. Films and video have always been my main passion. I grew up in a household where our weekend outings consisted of dinner and a movie. I have to thank my parents for where I am today because they immersed me within cinema/television. I believe the movies I matured with propelled my interest in story telling and journal writing. When I was in 5th grade, our teacher would give us 45 minutes to write whatever we wanted, and I always chose to write short stories. At the end of the 45 minutes we could read what we wrote, or act out our stories as small skits. No brainer. I wanted to act out my stories with my friends. The fact I could create a reaction or feeling from my classmates, whether it was laughter or intrigue, made it all the more enjoyable. Without an audience or support, film would be just a dusty shelf ornament for self pleasure. My teacher liked my scripts so much, she wanted to publish them in a magazine. I guess you could say this was the beginning of my desire for story writing and media. After that the rest is history. I picked up a camera my Sophomore year in high school, and fell in love with editing the footage. The idea that you could mix and match shots together like a puzzle sparked my imagination. At this point I knew I had to pursue a career in film. I am consistently working on new scripts, freelance work, and productions of all genres. I won't stop looking for inspiration as I hope I can inspire others along the way.
